Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist to join our team in Spokane, WA.Work Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm overtime and additional days or hours may be requiredResponsibilities:Perform analysis, which includes imaging, oncology FISH and/or karyotyping of cytogenetic specimensReview test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysisSummarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclatureDistinguish between normal and abnormal test resultsPerform routine preventative maintenance on equipmentPerform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as neededComply with company policies and proceduresMaintain a safe work environment.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience including FISH analysisPreferred Qualifications:ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCPCG)Additional Job Standards:Ability to work independently and within a team environmentAble to pass a standardized color blindness testHigh level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitaskFlexible to work overtime as neededExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalComfortable working under minimal supervisionProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory informationAre you an experienced Medical Lab Professional?
