Job Description

Overview

The Cybersecurity Engineer at ComTec Solutions LLC will serve as a subject matter expert, focusing on security policies, standards, and architecture, with particular emphasis on CMMC Compliance. This role involves providing security guidance to stakeholders and ensuring that security is integrated into all business projects and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage in projects during initiation, requirements, and design stages to ensure security is included
  • Conduct security reviews and design for complex applications and technologies
  • Evaluate and maintain security system plans and procedures
  • Research, recommend, and implement changes for enhanced security
  • Identify and resolve key risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Perform security risk assessments and document customer systems
  • Liaise between ComTec and cybersecurity vendors
  • Review and analyze cybersecurity reports weekly
  • Translate business requirements into security controls for design architecture
  • Monitor assigned tickets and provide necessary support or escalation
  • Maintain accurate ticket information, timesheets, and expense reports
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team

Required skills

  • Expertise in cybersecurity and risk assessment
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance
  • Strong background in IT network security and cloud technologies
  • Experience in Network Engineering and Microsoft security architecture
  • Ability to troubleshoot server-based software issues
  • Understanding of security architecture and enterprise EDR/MDR solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
