Job Description

Overview

The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Supervisor at JARP Industries is responsible for overseeing the welding team, ensuring compliance with welding standards and procedures, and driving process improvements. This role involves extensive interaction with employees, customers, and suppliers to maintain high-quality welding operations and mentor new employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage welding standards, procedures, and documentation related to JARP's welding processes.
  • Conduct research and development of new welding technologies.
  • Create and monitor budgets and perform cost analysis for designs.
  • Support daily verification and inspection of welded products.
  • Assist Engineering with customer requirements and material evaluations.
  • Prepare technical reports related to welding as needed.
  • Train and evaluate all JARP welders to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Support investigation of customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Oversee Quality Management System audits focused on welding processes.
  • Manage Continuous Improvement projects within the welding team.

Required skills

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credentials from AWS
  • 5+ years of experience in related roles within manufacturing or engineering
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong technical drawing and blueprint interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of PQR/WPS to AWS D1.1
  • Familiarity with NDT/NDE techniques
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong team working abilities
  • Good strategic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer literacy and adaptability to new software
