Job Description

Overview

JARP Industries Inc is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for the 1st shift to support their Operations and Engineering teams in ensuring quality in welding processes. The role involves auditing, inspection, and compliance within a manufacturing environment, as well as mentoring new employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Audit welding standards, specifications, and procedures
  • Conduct visual inspections and verification of welded products
  • Assist Engineering with customer requirements related to welds
  • Prepare technical reports related to welding
  • Investigate customer complaints related to welding
  • Support Root Cause Analysis for nonconformance issues
  • Participate in Quality Management System audits
  • Collaborate on Continuous Improvement projects
  • Perform random weld audits and verify compliance
  • Maintain and verify calibration of welding equipment

Required skills

  • 2+ years of experience in welding or related roles
  • American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Excellent technical drawing and blueprint interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of PQR/WPS to AWS D1.1
  • Working knowledge of NDT/NDE techniques
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy and adaptability
  • Experience in mentoring and training
