Overview

The Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) role at U.S. Customs and Border Protection provides an opportunity to join a mission-critical team dedicated to protecting America's borders and enforcing laws related to customs, immigration, and agriculture. This position includes various assignments aimed at deterring illicit activities and facilitating legitimate trade and travel.

Key responsibilities

  • Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
  • Facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel
  • Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances
  • Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the U.S.
  • Prevent illegal entry of individuals and smuggling of contraband
