Job Description

Overview

As a Customer Service Specialist II at Ace Hardware Corporation, you will be responsible for handling telephone inquiries from retailers regarding order statuses, adjustments, and stock information. This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and you will work closely with shipping, traffic, and credit departments to ensure efficient order processing and resolution of any issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive telephone inquiries from retailers regarding order status, adjustments, and stock availability
  • Retrieve retailer information and order status, making necessary changes to purchase orders
  • Follow up on inquiries and check delivery information
  • Maintain files of active orders and document activity including changes and adjustments
  • Prepare paperwork for accounting related to credits and debits
  • Review Returned Goods Forms for correct inventory adjustments

Required skills

  • Minimum high school diploma; some college preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience
  • Excellent phone skills and professional phone presence
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with SAP, AS400, Microsoft Word, and Excel preferred
