Overview

The Customer Service Specialist II at Ace Hardware Corporation in Hilliard, Ohio, is responsible for handling telephone inquiries from retailers concerning order status, adjustments, and stock availability. Key responsibilities

  • Receive telephone inquiries from retailers regarding order status and adjustments
  • Retrieve retailer information and stock status from computer systems
  • Follow up on inquiries about delivery information
  • Coordinate with shipping and traffic departments regarding delivery status
  • Check credit status of retailers for rush orders
  • Maintain files of active orders and document changes
  • Prepare paperwork for accounting regarding credits and debits
  • Review Returned Goods Forms for correct reason codes and issue inventory adjustments

Required skills

  • High school diploma or some college education preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience
  • Excellent phone communication skills and professional presence
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills, with preferred experience in SAP, AS400, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment
