Overview

As a Customer Service Representative at Grainger, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality service to a diverse clientele while working in a collaborative team environment. This position requires navigating multiple systems and resolving customer inquiries efficiently in a fast-paced, inbound call center setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls delivering quality customer service
  • Quickly navigate multiple computer screens and software programs
  • Assist customers with order placement, product information, and returns
  • Problem-solve independently using critical thinking and available resources
  • Collaborate daily in a positive, team-based environment
  • Maintain attention to detail while managing complex customer issues
  • Communicate clearly via phone and written messages

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • High-volume inbound call center experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset and openness to feedback
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and SAP is a plus
