Overview

Cigna Healthcare is seeking dedicated and compassionate Customer Service Representatives to join their Medical Proclaim Provider team in Tennessee. This role involves assisting health care providers with inquiries related to medical claims, benefits, and prior authorizations, while providing empathetic support to clients during critical times.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls from health care providers regarding medical claims and benefits
  • Handle an average of 50+ calls daily
  • Navigate multiple applications on various screens while taking calls
  • Attend all necessary training sessions, especially during the first 90 days of employment
  • Resolve customer complaints through effective problem-solving skills
  • Meet or exceed call center metrics while ensuring excellent customer service

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Reliable internet connection with specific speed requirements for remote work
