Job Description

Overview

The Customer Service and Benefits Specialist at the Helen Ross McNabb Center plays a key role in helping clients navigate the application process and ensuring their needs are met. This position involves administrative duties such as data entry, appointment scheduling, and maintaining client records in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist clients in completing NHSC applications
  • Monitor front desk operations and ensure security procedures are followed
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
  • Schedule and cancel client appointments
  • Receive and distribute mail, documents, and packages
  • Perform administrative and clerical support tasks
  • Maintain accurate filing and record keeping
  • Check clients' eligibility for services
  • Ensure proper filing and updating of medical records
  • Respond to emails and voicemails within 1 business day
  • Attend scheduled meetings and complete required training modules

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior administrative or clerical experience

What the company offers

  • Starting salary approximately $16.61 per hour
  • Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1-hour break
