Job Description

Overview

As a Curriculum Development Advisor with Cuso International, you will work collaboratively with the Ministry of Labour and Skills in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to enhance the local technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system. This role focuses on incorporating Competency-Based Training (CBT) methodologies and ensuring alignment with international industry standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with local industry leaders to conduct industrial gap analyses.
  • Organize DACUM workshops for curriculum development.
  • Transition educational practices from theoretical instruction to Competency-Based Training.
  • Develop modular curricula that emphasize practical skills and incorporate Green TVET principles.
  • Implement assessments to ensure the Certificate of Competency is recognized in the job market.
  • Create extensive assessment banks featuring practical projects and examination tools.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or vocational training-related field
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in technical and vocational training
  • 2 years of industry experience in a leadership or expert role
  • Knowledge of technical and vocational training for trainers
  • Proficiency in digital technologies and effective training practices
