Job Description

Overview

The Curriculum Development Advisor will volunteer with Cuso International in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, starting in August 2026 for a period of five months. This role focuses on enhancing the Ethiopian TVET system by collaborating with local authorities to ensure alignment with international industry standards through the development of Competency-Based Training (CBT) programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Ministry of Labour and Skills in Ethiopia
  • Conduct industrial gap analyses and organize DACUM workshops
  • Transition instructional methods to Competency-Based Training (CBT)
  • Develop modular curricula emphasizing practical skills and digital literacy
  • Implement assessments ensuring value of the Certificate of Competency (CoC)

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or vocational training-related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in technical and vocational training
  • 2+ years of industry experience in a leadership or expert role
  • Knowledge of technical and vocational training practices
  • Proficiency in digital technologies
