Job Description

Overview

The CT/Radiology Technologist at Ascension Wisconsin Hospital is responsible for performing various imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, in a part-time capacity. This role requires technical expertise and the ability to operate imaging equipment while providing supportive patient care and adhering to established policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures such as CT and X-Rays with minimal supervision
  • Provide technical assistance and support to physicians and nursing staff
  • Operate and maintain imaging department equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS
  • Document and maintain logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats
  • Collect laboratory samples and conduct lab testing in compliance with established policies
  • Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment
  • Act as an ER Technician as needed and attend staff meetings

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology
  • Certified as a medical radiologic technologist
  • Registered Technologist with the ARRT in radiography
  • CT certification (if required by market)
  • Current BLS certification
  • 2+ years of radiologic/imaging experience
  • 1+ years of CT experience
  • Proficiency with X-ray/CT equipment and PACS
  • Fluency in English, written and oral communication
