Overview

As a CT Technologist at Ochsner Health System, you will assess patients and perform routine CT procedures while ensuring compliance with radiation safety protocols. Key responsibilities

  • Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care

  • Assist in departmental operations such as inventory and staff scheduling

  • Remain knowledgeable about laws and accreditation standards

Required skills

  • Formal training in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by ARRT
  • Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiology Technology Board
  • Advanced certification in CT required within 2 years
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
  • Proficient with Windows-style applications and data entry
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language
