Ochsner Health System is seeking a CT Technologist in Rose Hill, Mississippi, responsible for assessing patients and performing routine CT procedures while ensuring compliance with prescribed radiation safety protocols. The role also entails providing clinical mentorship to junior staff and students, emphasizing the importance of patient care and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients and perform routine CT procedures
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety procedures
  • Mentor junior staff and students in clinical practices
  • Verify physician orders and completion of imaging procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment according to protocols
  • Review patient images for diagnostic quality standards
  • Facilitate departmental operations including inventory and staff schedules
  • Adhere to current federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards

Required skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Advanced certification in CT (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Windows applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and self-directed
