Overview

Ochsner Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to assess patients and perform routine CT procedures in accordance with radiation safety protocols. The role includes clinical mentoring for junior staff and students, utilizing radiology information systems to facilitate patient care, and ensuring high-quality imaging standards are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients and perform routine CT procedures according to safety protocols
  • Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Independently operate imaging equipment and complete procedures
  • Review patient images for diagnostic quality
  • Assist with departmental operations including inventory and equipment maintenance
  • Adapt behavior to patient populations and ensure respect for privacy
  • Remain knowledgeable on laws, standards, and compliance requirements
