Job Description

Overview

Samaritan Hospital, part of St. Peters Health Partners, is seeking a full-time night shift CT Technologist. The role involves performing CT procedures in line with department standards, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

  • Obtain and record complete clinical history pertinent to examinations.
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinator or radiologist.
  • Instruct patients on the nature of exams being performed.
  • Communicate post-procedure information effectively.
  • Ensure proper radiation protection measures in accordance with ALARA principles.
  • Complete documentation related to patient care and imaging procedures.
  • Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and equipment for accurate exams.
  • Assist in training new personnel.

Required skills

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT registration and NYS license required
  • Certification to Inject
  • Experience on Siemens equipment preferred
