Job Description

Overview

St. Peter's Hospital is seeking a full-time CT Technologist II to join their Medical Imaging team. The role involves performing CT procedures while ensuring patient safety and adhering to radiation protection standards. The position is part of a recognized Magnet Hospital that emphasizes both career opportunities and a balanced quality of life.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform all CT procedures in accordance with department standards
  • Obtain and record complete clinical history pertinent to examinations
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to the coordinator or radiologist
  • Instruct patients on the nature of the exam being performed
  • Effectively communicate information regarding post procedures
  • Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken (ALARA environment)
  • Complete all required documentation related to patient care and imaging procedures
  • Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and necessary equipment
  • Assist in the instruction of new personnel

Required skills

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT registration
  • NYS license required
  • Certification to inject
  • Experience on Siemens equipment preferred
