Job Description

Overview

St. Peters Health Partners is seeking a CT Technologist for the night shift at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. This full-time position involves performing CT procedures in accordance with department standards while ensuring patient safety and care.

Key responsibilities

  • Obtain and record complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist
  • Instruct patients about the nature of the exam being performed
  • Communicate information regarding post procedures effectively
  • Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment
  • Complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements
  • Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment for accurate exams
  • Assist in the instruction of new personnel

Required skills

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT registration
  • NYS license required and certification to inject
  • Experience on Siemens equipment preferred
