Overview

Columbia Healthcare is seeking a CRNA to join their team in Central Washington. This role involves providing high-quality anesthesia care in collaboration with Surgery and Mother-Baby Unit Department staff, while contributing to patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients' medical histories to predict anesthesia response
  • Develop anesthesia care plans
  • Obtain informed consent from patients for anesthesia procedures
  • Select and prepare equipment, monitors, supplies, and drugs for anesthetic administration
  • Monitor patients' responses and manage airways
  • Respond to emergency situations with airway management and life support techniques
  • Perform or manage regional anesthetic techniques such as local, spinal, and epidural
  • Participate in continuing medical education and process improvement efforts
  • Cooperate with surgeons and staff for optimal patient care
  • Engage in meetings and policy formation

Required skills

  • Current Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure in the Anesthetist category
  • Successful completion of a master's level accredited school of nurse anesthesia
  • Current certification as CRNA through the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CCNA)
  • Minimum of two years experience as a CRNA in a hospital setting
  • Current certification in ACLS, PALS, and NRP
  • HCP Level BLS certification within 30 days of hire
