Critical Environment Lead Engineer - JLLWhat this job involves:The Critical Environment Lead Engineer ensures the proper implementation and maintenance of JLL's Critical Environments Preventive Maintenance Program across all designated Critical Facilities in their region. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, as you'll operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment while managing third-shift engineers. You'll play a crucial part in maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports our clients' most essential operations, directly contributing to JLL's reputation for operational excellence and reliability in mission-critical environments.What your day-to-day will look like:Execute advanced system operations for all mechanical and electrical systems in critical facilitiesPerform daily inspections and equipment rounds, reviewing and logging all critical infrastructure equipmentComplete corrective and preventative maintenance work orders through the Computer Management Maintenance System (CMMS)Supervise and manage third-shift engineers to ensure timely completion of all preventive maintenance activitiesRespond to alarms and abnormal conditions in critical areas when alerted by Building Management Systems (BMS), clients, or facility personnelEnforce Critical Environments Change Control Process requirements and maintain facility housekeeping standardsCreate detailed incident reports and implement emergency response protocols as necessaryRequired Qualifications:Advanced knowledge of commercial or industrial building systems and critical infrastructure operationsProven experience in operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex facility equipmentStrong leadership and team management capabilities for supervising engineering staffAbility to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations outside normal business hoursExcellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailStrong problem-solving abilities to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsCommitment to safety protocols and participation in required safety training programsPreferred Qualifications:Technical school education or military training in relevant mechanical/electrical systemsExperience with Computer Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS)Background in vendor management and contractor oversightKnowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and critical facility operationsExperience in project management support and scope developmentPrevious experience in mission-critical or data center environmentsFamiliarity with emergency response protocols in critical infrastructure settingsLocation: OnsiteWork Shift: Night shift supervision and emergency response availability required This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
