Overview

As a Criminal Defense Paralegal at DM Cantor Criminal Law Practice, you will play a crucial role in supporting Arizona's top criminal defense team. Your contributions will directly influence case outcomes, from drafting motions to coordinating with various stakeholders, while maintaining a well-prepared and organized environment for court appearances.

Key responsibilities

  • Draft motions and organize discovery packages
  • Coordinate with attorneys, law enforcement, witnesses, and prosecutors
  • Manage multiple case responsibilities and deadlines
  • Prepare and file court documents
  • Conduct legal research and investigative tasks
  • Maintain detailed case files and documentation
  • Provide professional communication with clients and opposing counsel

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of private criminal law paralegal experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong drafting experience for pleadings and motions
  • Familiarity with Arizona Superior Court filing procedures
  • Ability to manage a small caseload independently
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under urgency
  • Strong writing, grammar, and file management skills
