Job Description

Overview

American Community Bank & Trust (ACBT) is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst II to join their team in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial lenders to conduct credit analysis and support lending decisions for new and existing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct credit analysis, verifications, and financial-statement reviews for lending decisions
  • Collaborate with lenders to prepare credit presentations
  • Perform periodic and transaction-driven reviews of financials and risk ratings
  • Review real estate appraisals and produce internal valuation assessments
  • Ensure consistent application of loan policy and regulatory requirements
  • Support the bank's loan compliance program

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years' commercial underwriting experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven commercial credit analysis experience
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Working knowledge of loan documents and credit agreements
