Overview

The Craft Beer Sales Trainee role at Craft Beer Guild Distribution of NY focuses on training in sales and distribution of craft products in Ulster and Orange Counties. This position aims to develop the skills necessary for advancement to a Sales Representative, involving responsibilities such as business development and customer relations.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations
  • Ensure product rotation and adherence to code policy
  • Promote and place craft products effectively
  • Merchandise accounts with permanent and paper POS
  • Collect accounts receivable within corporate credit policy
  • Conduct promotions in accounts regularly
  • Develop new accounts and placements
  • Organize and execute floor displays and window placements
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding credit and product information
  • Execute monthly business activity goals
  • Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid and clean driver's license
  • Ability to work independently
  • Cicerone Beer Server Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in sales and marketing
