Overview

The Craft Beer Sales Trainee position with Craft Beer Guild Dist. of NY focuses on learning and training in the sales and distribution of craft products in Ulster & Orange Counties. This role aims to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to advance to a Sales Representative position.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations
  • Ensure product rotation and adherence to code policy
  • Promote and sell craft products effectively
  • Properly merchandise accounts with POS materials
  • Conduct account promotions as needed
  • Develop new accounts and placements
  • Organize and execute floor displays and signage
  • Handle customer inquiries related to credit and product information
  • Execute monthly business activity goals
  • Maintain a schedule of weekly appointments with accounts

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, or management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid and clean driver's license
  • Ability to work independently
  • Cicerone Beer Server Certification (or willingness to obtain)
