Overview

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Manager for the Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team in Hermiston, Oregon. The role involves managing construction activities and infrastructure improvement projects within AWS data centers, focusing on optimizing space, power, and cooling systems while ensuring safety and security standards are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and review projects related to electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural disciplines.
  • Identify areas for improvement based on data received from different teams.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure operational excellence in data center management.
  • Manage project scope, direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or critical infrastructure
  • Experience with power management and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
