Overview

Amazon Data Services is looking for a Data Center Project Manager to join their Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team. This role involves managing critical infrastructure improvement projects at AWS data centers, ensuring optimal utilization of space, power, and cooling. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a diverse team of engineers and specialists to enhance the operational excellence of Amazon's global infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and review all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural in data center projects.
  • Identify areas for improvement in infrastructure and implement innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate project direction, execution, and completion to align with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams for optimal project outcomes.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in project management within data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, or OSHA.
