Job Description

Overview

The McNabb Center is seeking counselors, advocates, peer support specialists, and residential counselors to work across Knox, Blount, and Anderson Counties, Tennessee. These roles focus on providing individualized services to support clients in mental health and social services, aiming to improve their lives and facilitate recovery.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individualized services including home visits, referrals, education, and family support
  • Assist clients in accessing resources and achieving personal goals
  • Facilitate recovery groups and provide emotional support as a Peer Support Specialist
  • Monitor safety and provide supervision in residential treatment facilities
  • Conduct intake assessments and participate in psychoeducational groups

Required skills

  • Mental Health Counseling experience
  • Knowledge of social services and advocacy
  • Crisis intervention skills
  • Peer support experience with lived experience in recovery
  • Driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
