Job Description

Overview

Redbarn Pet Products is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Clerk to assist with product costing, inventory management, and production reporting. This role involves collaboration with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial data and compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Maintain material conversion records and coordinate purchase orders
  • Verify work orders and production costs
  • Prepare daily production efficiency reports
  • Assist with month-end closing activities
  • Update customer pricing and costing information
  • Support product costing and process improvement initiatives
  • Follow GMP and Food Safety requirements

Required skills

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting, costing, manufacturing, inventory control, or data analysis
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP, accounting, or inventory systems preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
