Overview

CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Correctional Officer to provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates in a correctional facility. The role requires someone who can maintain order and security while being flexible to work various shifts and locations within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide security and direct supervision of inmates/residents
  • Maintain order and security in various posts within the correctional facility
  • Employ weapons or force if necessary to maintain discipline
  • Oversee inmates during meals, recreation, and work assignments
  • Work any shift as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to complete required training
  • Experience in correctional supervision or related fields
  • Conflict resolution and emergency response skills
