Job Description

Overview

Invitation Homes is a publicly traded REIT managing over 110,000 single-family rental homes. The Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal Department, focusing on entity management, corporate governance, and other legal functions essential to operations, reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the company's entity management program.
  • Maintain comprehensive entity database and documentation.
  • Manage annual corporate filings and state compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate entity formations, mergers, and dissolutions.
  • Work with the Tax Department for tax registrations.
  • Respond to internal and external requests for entity information.
  • Assist with securitization projects and document preparation.
  • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio.
  • Assist with legal invoices and track department expenses.
  • Provide support to Legal Department attorneys as needed.

Required skills

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment.
  • Hands-on experience with entity formation and corporate maintenance.
  • Experience in real estate or REIT preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with entity management software.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Attention to detail and discretion in handling sensitive information.
