Overview

Invitation Homes is a rapidly evolving publicly traded REIT with a significant portfolio of single-family rental homes, seeking a Corporate Paralegal to support its Legal Department. The role involves managing the company's entity management program and assisting with various legal and administrative functions critical for compliance and governance.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and control the company's entity management program
  • Maintain comprehensive entity database and documentation
  • Manage annual corporate filings and state compliance requirements
  • Coordinate entity formations, mergers, and dissolutions
  • Prepare and maintain minute books and corporate governance documentation
  • Assist with securitization projects and document preparation
  • Manage intellectual property portfolio and trademark applications
  • Track legal department expenses and manage legal invoices
  • Provide support for evictions and foreclosures compliance

Required skills

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate legal environment
  • Expertise in entity management and corporate governance
  • Hands-on experience with entity formation and corporate maintenance
  • Experience in real estate, REIT, or related industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and entity management software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
