Job Description

Overview

Invitation Homes is a publicly traded REIT managing over 110,000 single-family rental homes, with a focus on creating a supportive work culture. The Corporate Paralegal will support the Legal Department by managing entity-related matters, including corporate governance and compliance, as well as assisting on securitization and trademark administration projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the entity management program and serve as the primary contact for entity-related matters.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and databases for corporate entities.
  • Manage annual filings and state compliance for multiple jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate entity formations, mergers, and dissolutions with outside counsel.
  • Support the Capital Markets team with securitization projects.
  • Assist with legal invoicing and track departmental expenses.
  • Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio and trademark applications.
  • Provide administrative support to the Legal Department attorneys as needed.

Required skills

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment
  • Expertise in entity management and corporate governance
  • Experience with entity formation and annual corporate maintenance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and entity management software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience in a real estate or REIT environment is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
