Overview

Invitation Homes, a publicly traded REIT with a significant market presence, is seeking a Corporate Paralegal to support its Legal Department. The role primarily involves managing the company's entity management program, overseeing corporate governance, and providing assistance with various legal and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and manage the company's entity management program and act as the primary contact for entity-related matters.
  • Maintain an accurate entity database, including formation documents and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate entity formations, qualifications, withdrawals, mergers, conversions, and dissolutions.
  • Assist with securitization projects by preparing documents and coordinating due diligence.
  • Manage the intellectual property portfolio, including trademark applications and renewals.
  • Provide support for legal invoices and track departmental expenses.
  • Assist with evictions and foreclosures while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain corporate governance documentation, such as minute books and resolutions.

Required skills

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment
  • Expertise in entity management and corporate governance
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and entity management software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to collaborate
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
