Overview

The Corporate Controller at First National Bank Texas will direct all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple locations. This role involves preparing financial statements, overseeing audits and regulatory submissions, and leading a high-performing accounting team.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct accounting operations, including general ledger and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles
  • Oversee FFIEC Call Reports and other regulatory submissions
  • Lead development and enhancement of internal controls
  • Coordinate external and internal audits and manage remediation efforts
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures
  • Support tax compliance and collaborate with third-party advisors
  • Drive operational efficiency through automation and process design
  • Support strategic initiatives including new product launches and M&A due diligence
  • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and the Board
