Overview

The Corporate Accounting Manager is a key position within a growing dynamic company in Sunrise, FL, offering the chance to significantly impact the finance team in a fast-paced environment. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, allowing for both hands-on involvement and team management.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reporting
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experience working within mid to large-size organizations
  • Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
