Overview

Olymel is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator (Coordonnateur SST) to join their dynamic team in Drummondville, Quebec. This role involves contributing to a strong safety culture by assessing and eliminating workplace risks while supporting managers and employees. Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and eliminate workplace risks.
  • Advise and support managers in applying best practices in health and safety.
  • Participate in accident investigations and develop preventive measures.
  • Coordinate health and safety committee activities and follow up on recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain prevention programs and procedures.
  • Conduct training and awareness activities for employees and management.
  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance in health and safety legislation.
  • Participate in developing and tracking health and safety performance indicators.

Required skills

  • DEC or university degree in a relevant field (Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Kinesiology, Industrial Relations, or equiv
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in health and safety in an industrial unionized environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Understanding of ergonomics and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (an asset).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Availability for evening and night shifts as required.
