Job Description

Overview

The Coordinator, Tech Trainer at WestRock is responsible for conducting technical training and assisting with the certification of team members in a manufacturing environment. This role collaborates with site leadership to support onboarding processes and develop training materials while ensuring that all training meets company standards and effectively improves team performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct daily technical training for team member certification
  • Partner with leadership for New Hire Orientation and onboarding training
  • Track, evaluate, and measure training effectiveness
  • Support the creation of site-specific technical learning solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with trainees and team leaders
  • Participate in the hiring process and assess candidates' skills
  • Conduct training across all shifts and manage certification processes
  • Promote safety and continuous improvement in training efficiency

Required skills

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in leading training in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms)
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to build relationships and influence teams
