Overview

The Coordinator, Tech Trainer at WestRock is responsible for assisting with local training processes to ensure operator job certification. This role involves daily technical training on the floor, partnering with site leadership for New Hire Orientation, and supporting the assessment and certification of team members.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete daily technical training on the floor for team member certification
  • Support New Hire Orientation and Onboarding Training
  • Track, evaluate, and measure local training using company tools
  • Create site-specific technical learning solutions like SOPs and workflows
  • Build and maintain relationships with trainees and leaders
  • Participate in the hiring process, assessing candidates' skills
  • Conduct training across all shifts and promote safety-minded practices
  • Manage day-to-day certification processes

Required skills

  • 1-3 years' experience in conducting or leading training in manufacturing
  • 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms)
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
