Overview

Rock City Enterprises is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join their Food & Beverage team at Rock City Gardens. This role is essential for preparing high-quality menu items and maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency in a collaborative kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to established menu specifications and quality standards.
  • Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and appearance.
  • Monitor portion control and minimize product loss.
  • Follow health code and food safety standards.
  • Assist in monitoring temperature logs for coolers and freezers.
  • Support inventory management by communicating ordering needs.
  • Collaborate with kitchen partners for daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required skills

  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in food service preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain ServSafe Certification.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes.
  • Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills for handling money.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

What the company offers

  • Hourly wage of $15.00 - $15.25.
