Overview As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will partner with strategic financial services clients to design and implement production-grade solutions on BankingSuite. You'll bridge engineering and client needs, leading technical workshops, and delivering compelling proofs-of-concept. This high-visibility role influences product direction and requires clear communication with engineers and executives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate value delivery in a fast-moving, innovative environment. ResponsibilitiesServe as primary technical contact for strategic client accounts, building relationships with architects and engineersLead discovery sessions to capture client architectures, pain points, and business objectivesTranslate complex tech concepts into clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiencesCollaborate with client architects and internal teams to design scalable, production-ready solutionsProvide guidance on microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native deployment patternsReview client designs, identify risks, and recommend best practicesRapidly prototype and build POCs showing platform value in real client contextsDeliver polished technical demos tailored to client tech stacks and domainsMaintain a library of reusable demo assets and reference implementationsDesign and facilitate deep-dive technical workshops, hackathons, and onboarding bootcampsProduce high-quality technical docs, runbooks, and integration guidesAccelerate client time-to-value by enabling autonomous development teamsSurface customer feedback to product and engineering teams to shape go-to-market strategy Key requirements8+ years of software engineering experience with client-facing or field engineering rolesBackground in financial services (banking, capital markets, payments, insurance, fintech) preferredBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent; advanced degree a plusWillingness to travel 20-30% on averageAuthorized to work in the United States without sponsorship currently and in the futureExceptional communicator with the ability to engage senior engineers and C-suite stakeholdersStrong facilitation for workshops, design reviews, and working sessionsSelf-directed, highly organized, able to manage multiple engagementsJava and Spring Boot deep expertise for production-grade microservicesEvent-driven architecture knowledge (Kafka, event sourcing, CQRS, async messaging)Microservices design principles: decomposition, API design, resiliency, observability
