Schmidt Associates is looking for a Controls Systems Engineer to join our team to support the optimization of building systems for our clients.Responsibilities: Assessing controls system operation for clients on site and remotely via internet connection. Providing on-going optimization servicesIdentifying optimization opportunitiesDeveloping cost estimates for controls upgradesWorking with energy engineers to develop savings calculationsObserving and reviewing system and control installation processes for design compliance. Leading a process upon occupancy to assure proper system operation by partnering with controls contractors, mechanical contractors and construction managers.Assisting the Owner during their operation training phase. Reviewing construction submittals as they relate to engineering systems and control applications. Qualifications: Strong competency in engineering building systems operation and control applications.Ability to coordinate and integrate system control applications into the firm's facility design process. Work with and inform owners on operation and optimization techniques for their systems. Skills in implementation of quality procedures are necessary. Ability to meet project deliverables and deadlines. Experience/Education: Degree in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyProfessional Engineer (P.E.) license from the State of Indiana is preferred but not required Minimum of 3 yrs experience PId5b80aed6ca5-2868
