Job Description

Overview

The Controls Specialist at Clarios is responsible for continuously improving plant processes and equipment. This role involves making design and PLC program changes, supporting maintenance and project implementation, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead plant teams in process improvements and project implementations
  • Provide technical support for maintenance and capital projects
  • Monitor new equipment and tools to ensure performance to specifications
  • Review and schedule the introduction of new and modified specifications into the manufacturing system
  • Identify and eliminate causes of recurring downtime

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with PLC programming and ladder logic
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in robotics programming (Fanuc / Denso preferred) is a plus
