Job Description

Overview

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Manager to lead the deployment and service of building management systems and electrical power monitoring systems within its data centers in Dublin, Ohio. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in controls systems, project management, and team leadership to drive innovations in building controls and ensure optimal customer experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage onsite teams in Ohio and travel up to 30% domestically
  • Develop, implement, and track team goals while reporting to stakeholders and leadership
  • Conduct interviews and develop launch plans for new hires, addressing team needs
  • Installation, programming, and troubleshooting of BMS/EPMS systems and industrial controls systems
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, control diagrams, and specifications
  • Develop project scope and specifications based on customer needs
  • Coordinate project work internally and externally to ensure timely completion within budget
  • Provide technical assistance to internal customers
  • Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems

Required skills

  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of controls-related experience, or equivalent alternative education and experience
  • 6+ years of experience in managing and developing teams of controls professionals
  • Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data centers, manufacturing)
  • Strong project management skills and vendor management experience
  • Ability to develop logic diagrams and drawings for control systems
