Job Description

Overview

The Controls Engineer at Clarios will participate in both small and large projects within the Manufacturing Facility, providing mechanical, electrical, and system design deliverables. This role encompasses creating and updating process specifications, operator instructions, and documentation while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical, electrical, and system design for assigned projects
  • Develop and update process specifications and operator instructions
  • Lead smaller development projects that impact business objectives
  • Support plant operations and assist with capital project implementation
  • Prepare project review information for team members and leadership
  • Implement process changes on existing equipment
  • Assist in developing and installing production expansion equipment
  • Coordinate with Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance departments
  • Travel to equipment supplier sites for qualification and acceptance testing

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
  • Experience with PLC programming using RSLogix/Studio5000 (Allen Bradley)
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and 2D drafting
  • Familiarity with Minitab and Six Sigma methodologies
