Candidates who live outside of Oklahoma will not be considered for this position.Position:The Controls Engineer will support the success of the Sustaining Engineering team by designing programming, testing, and supporting PLC and HMI systems used in industrial bakery equipment. Responsibilities Include:Develop, modify, and maintain PLC programs using ladder logic and other applicable programming languagesDesign and program HMI interfaces for machine operation, monitoring, and diagnosticsUnderstanding the VFD & Motion Sequences and TroubleshootPerforming the 3rd Party Device (Pneumatics, Encoders & IO Links) Integration with Allen Bradley PLCUnderstanding of safety systems Guard Logix & Safety RelaysConfiguration of controls networks like Serial Communication and Ethernet IP'sTest, debug, and optimize PLC and HMI programs to ensure proper functionality and performanceRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentationAdhere to the Production/Shipment SchedulesAssist with machine start-up to verify proper operation of control systems before the machine shipsCollaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve technical issuesSupport programming modifications for existing equipmentMaintain accurate documentation of PLC programs, HMI configurations, and other changesTravel 10% based on the requirement The Perks:Full benefits including medical, dental, and visionCompany paid life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability401k and company matchPaid Time Off (including your birthday!) and paid holidaysProduct discounts across Middleby companiesWe encourage fresh air and activity through recreational activities offered during breaks and lunch Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
