Overview

The Controller - Multi Unit, Multi-Service position at Sodexo involves overseeing financial operations within multiple business units supporting The University Hospital Health System in Cleveland, Ohio. This role requires strong leadership to enhance financial stability and improve patient experiences through effective financial management and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee financial operations across multiple business units, ensuring compliance with Sodexo policies
  • Develop and implement financial controls and reporting to maintain data integrity
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, aligning financial plans with organizational goals
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for multiple entities
  • Consolidate financial statements and provide detailed variance analysis
  • Partner with operational leaders to drive profitability and cost optimization
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity for financial stability

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of experience in finance or accounting
  • Strong Excel skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong finance knowledge with analytical abilities
  • Experience in monitoring KPIs and financial health
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Preferred finance experience in hospital, food service, or environmental services
