ControllerSalary: $120,000-$150,000 Lead the Finance Function. Influence the Business. Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Controller to serve as the senior financial leader for a key manufacturing facility. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations, driving business results, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership. In this role, you'll oversee all accounting and financial activities for the site while working closely with plant leadership and corporate finance. Acting as the financial steward of the operation, you'll help shape business strategy, improve performance, and support continued growth. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Serve as the top financial leader for a major manufacturing operation Function as the site's financial partner, with influence across both operational and strategic decisions Join a stable and well-established organization with a national footprint Inherit a strong, experienced accounting and finance team Lead two direct reports, including a tenured Accounting Manager with extensive institutional knowledge High level of visibility and interaction with executive leadership Opportunity to drive operational improvements, profitability initiatives, and financial performance Collaborative environment where finance is viewed as a strategic business partner Position offers a unique blend of accounting leadership, operational finance, and business strategy Key Responsibilities Lead all site accounting and finance activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting Provide financial leadership and guidance to operations and executive management Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business objectives Deliver meaningful financial analysis and recommendations that drive decision-making Partner with operations leaders to improve profitability, productivity, and cost efficiency Oversee month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statements, and internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a high-performance culture Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic initiatives Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and overall business performance Serve as the primary liaison between site leadership and the corporate finance organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and internal controls Demonstrated success partnering with operations to improve business performance Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing teams Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills The Bottom Line This is more than a traditional Controller position.
