Overview

The Controller role at CFS offers a high-impact leadership position within a rapidly growing international company. Located in Greater Boston and primarily remote, this role is crucial for overseeing the US accounting function and driving automation and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day accounting functions including month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations
  • Manage inventory accounting, intercompany transactions, and ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial reporting, analysis, and operational support
  • Drive ERP optimization, automation initiatives, and continuous process improvements
  • Collaborate with international finance leadership serving as the primary finance lead for the US business

Required skills

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting role
  • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting within a small or midsize organization
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Dynamics NAV, or a similar ERP
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a passion for process improvement and automation
