Overview

The Controller at Stellus Rx will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and maintaining effective internal controls. This leadership role is crucial for financial management, compliance, and process improvement while collaborating with business leaders for strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition and expense accruals
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and audit requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team
  • Partner with FP&A and leadership on budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations and insights
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification
  • 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proven experience managing teams and complex close processes
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
